The Box opens at The Oxford Science Park
01 July 2025
A new outdoor food outlet has arrived at The Oxford Science Park, bringing a tasty addition to the Park’s lunchtime options. Situated next to the Sadler Building, The Box offers mouth-watering barbequed dishes with an international twist, perfect for those seeking a quick and satisfying meal during the working day.

From smoky pulled meats and grilled vegetable wraps to globally inspired street food bowls, the menu is designed to deliver variety and flavour right in the heart of the Park. Dishes rotate daily over a four-week cycle and will be updated regularly.
Meals are cooked over two egg-shaped, kamado charcoal grills and two large electric griddles. The kamado grills are highly fuel-efficient and use sustainably sourced charcoal.

In keeping with The Oxford Science Park’s commitment to sustainability, all packaging is made from recyclable, biodegradable paperboard, and the cutlery is crafted from eco-friendly cornstarch.
Julien Such, Food & Beverage Manager at The Oxford Science Park, said:
"We’re excited to launch The Box, a vibrant new addition to our line-up here at The Oxford Science Park. Serving a variety of freshly prepared dishes cooked over charcoal on our kamado grills, we are bringing deeper barbeque flavours to globally themed lunch boxes. Whether you’re after a quick bite or something more substantial, The Box offers a satisfying and convenient option to the Park community."
The Box is open Monday to Friday, serving food between 12pm and 2pm. It is also available for private hire by TOSP occupiers. Customers can make payment by either credit card or charge to their account in the usual way. Prices start at £8.45 for a full meal, and a selection of cold drinks are also available from The Box.
