EIT Oxford at The Oxford Science Park

We recently spoke to Lisa Flashner, COO of EIT Oxford, about why a leading medical research and development centre in California chose The Oxford Science Park as the location for its European campus.

Proximity to the world’s leading university and world-class research institutions; access to great minds and scientific discovery; a thriving, collaborative innovation community; and the availability of high-spec laboratory space are all reasons why international companies and organisations choose to be here.

EIT Oxford is in the process of developing a new 300,000 sq ft state-of-the-art research and development campus. The Norman Foster design is already under construction at The Oxford Science Park and will be connected by an elevated woodland walkway to an adjacent site in Littlemore. The facility, due for completion in 2027, is expected to attract some of the best scientists in their field to develop and deploy technology in pursuit of solving some of humanity’s most challenging and enduring problems.

EIT Oxford will drive scientific and technological innovation in four key areas: health and medical science, food security and sustainable agriculture, climate change and clean energy, and government innovation and era of artificial intelligence.
